TEDxKids @TheHill is trailblazing a new form of conference culture. We are combining TED’s provocative education style with kids, Parliamentarians, and other adult visionaries to create the ultimate “brain spa”. In 2010, our team ran a TEDxKids @TheHill salon including 200 kids and adults (and some 70+ cows).
In tandem with this event, we led younger people through a number of practical projects to ensure we were creating more than a fleeting one-day conference experience. This means doing things such as having kids create gardens in their school, grow produce, and learn about healthy eating (more information can be found below, through our photo blog or our word blog).

Additional Event Details
All Ages :: We are combining the genius of kids with saviness of adults. The audience will be a candy shop of people: kids (10-18 years old), Parliamentarians, and other adult visionaries.
Interdisciplinary :: There are three TEDxTalk sessions broadly focusing on the environment, health, and human rights. Technology, creativity, music, and art themes are peppered throughout the entire event. To experience a TEDTalk, explore TED’s rich database here.
Moving Big Ideas Into Action :: The event’s underlying ethos is to move past a fleeting day of inspiration. This means we are helping create change before, during, and after the event.
This can be seen in preparatory projects such as TEDxKids invitations, inaugural activities or meaningful marketing moves, and will be in evidence at the salon with the practical project launches.
