Gund’s most recent project, What’s On Your Plate?, is a witty and provocative documentary about kids and food politics. Over the course of one year, the film follows two eleven-year-old city kids as they explore their place in the food chain. In addition to her extensive work in film and non-profit organizations she co-founded the Third Wave Foundation which targets grants and programs to young women between 15 and 30. Gund was also the founding director of BENT TV, the video workshop for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth at the Hetrick-Martin Institute. She lives with her four children in New York City.
