Chris Tse | Spoken Word Poet

Chris Tse once scored a point in a fight with Chuck Norris. He then retired from competitive cage-fighting and turned his attention to poetry, which he says is a “different sort of beast altogether.” The 21-year-old, originally from Coquitlam, British Columbia, is the 2010 Capital Slam champion and captain of the national champion Capital Slam team. His work has appeared on CBC Radio, CTV, in the Vancouver Sun and the Ottawa Citizen, and he is the poet behind the viral youtube video, “I’m Sorry I’m a Christian“. When he’s not dropping rhymes, Chris can be found at Carleton University finishing up his last year of journalism, shredding the gnar on any snowboard mountain in the area, or flipping eggs at the Wild Oat Cafe. His favourite colour is plaid.
