Julia Dales | Beatboxing Genius

At seven years old Julia Dales discovered the art of vocal percussion when her tennis coach beatboxed for her. Already a guitar player and drummer, she was captivated by beatboxing and decided to try it out for herself. She realized she had a knack for it and had soon mastered the art of sound effects using only her mouth. At seventeen years old and having only ever performed at school talent shows, Julia decided to share her talent with the world via YouTube and, in May of 2009, she won the World Online Beatboxing Competition against over 200 men. The video she submitted into the competition has been recognized by numerous celebrities including Ashton Kutcher and Justin Timberlake and now has millions of views. Due to her popular YouTube channel, Julia has made appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres show and MTV. Now eighteen years old, Julia continues to pursue a career in music.
